Elm Street District

The Elm Street initiative in West Reading will focus on residential neighborhood improvement. By working within the guidelines developed by the State, the local Neighborhood Advisory Committee will advocate for the neighborhood.

bullet Promote home ownership
bullet Devise traffic calming strategies
bullet Plant trees and create pocket parks
bullet Improve street lighting
bullet Implement a Neighborhood Watch
bullet Help enforce property maintenance
bullet Administer home improvement projects

These are but a few of the goals and objectives to be accomplished over a 5 year period continuing in 2007.
