adoptable animals. Humane Police Officers will be on site to
discuss Animal Protective Services and you can see the HSBC
Animal Emergency Van. Animal-themed craft projects for kids
and animal safety handouts. Great HSBC merchandise available

Mobile Adoption Unit, you may meet a new furry friend!

their masterpieces.

activities throughout the day will include face painting,
chalk art, drawing, and paper craft. Displays from
PA
Department of Natural Resources and Conservation,
Fish and Boat Commission or
Berks County Conservation District that relate to frogs
biology and conservation. Possum Patty from the
Berks County Conservation District will be on hand to
meet with children.
Public Art Sculptures

Ever want to see your work at a museum? Come
join a team of artists creating public sculptures from
recycled materials, right on the streets of West Reading.
Using scrap metals and plastic containers, we will show you
unconventional ways to RECYCLE AND MAKE ART! The giant pods
will then be placed on the grounds of the
Reading Public Museum to be shared with the community.

Mental Health Association
of Reading and Berks County
Founded in 1955 to promote mental
health education and wellness, as well as provide the area's
residents with active advocacy on an individual and
system-wide basis. Look for the Mental Health
Association's table in front of Sherry's Salon located at
536 Penn Avenue. We have raffle tickets, $5 each and you
could win $100, $250 or $500 at the "Mental Health Night at
Chill Lounge," on August 27th. The cool thing is you don't
have to be present to win but you sure would miss a fun
evening!
